Martin Solveig at LAVO NYC 3/31/2012

As you all probably already know, Martin Solveig was in Manhattan last night rounding out the end of his North American tour at LAVO NYC. We were lucky enough to be there to capture some of this experience for all of you out in the EDM world. The production incorporated into every show at LAVO really gives them an edge over all other clubs in NYC, you are always astounded with a near concert level performance which leaves everyone begging for more by the end of the night.

Solveig’s set had some extremely eclectic variations in his tracks, which was a pleasure to our ears. With tracks such as a remix to the very well known “Pumped Up Kicks” to a dirty dubstep breakdown that lasted for a while leaving the crowd satisfied. Some of the very notable tracks of the night include an insane mix of Swedish House Mafia’s newest release, “Greyhound”. Obviously we were all waiting for his namesake track, “Hello”, let me tell you, this was not just the version we were all used to hearing. Solveig captivated the audience with his enthusiasm and extremely involved on the fly mixing and effects. All of this was just what the track needed in order to give it some bigger muscles capable of blowing away even the most seasoned EDM enthusiast. Finally, the track that made every single person rush to the dance floor if they weren’t already there was “No Beef” by Afrojack & Steve Aoki. Seeing a response like this really shows you the power these beats really have.

In addition to destroying nightclubs and venues around the world, Solveig is also releasing a brand new E.P. called, “The Night Out” later this week. Check out his Facebook profile for more updates on his soon to be released E.P.
